1. I’m coming at this from a college coach and in the mindset of what I wish I would have known as a player going through this process

2. Proactive and prepared win over reactive and last minute

3. Recruiting will be later so please adjust expectations

4. Still convey interest and updates and make yourself and your coach available… you never know

5. A lot of opportunity out there actually….Now more than ever before…

6. Testing is important. Test early and often

OUR PROCESS…. get a profile, assistance with list creation (reach/target/safety) Look based on geographic, big/small, public/private, area of study, but financial is last), highlight video (2-4 mins) best stuff up front, emails and player is accountable to me for follow up and tracking as we go through your process

8. Make it easy on college coaches… convey genuine interest by doing the work yourself.. We can’t just call a coach and say recruit him. You need to sell yourself

9. Spent a lot of time with people especially at Penn in the Ivy League who just didn’t know very much about the process or what they should do
