Personal Statement
My name is Noga Belson and I am about to go into my senior year (class of 2022) at Homestead High School in Cupertino, CA. I am a 4 year varsity player at Homestead and for club, I play at De Anza Force for the 04 Blue ECNL2+ team. I have been playing soccer since I was 3 and my love for it has only grown since then. Since starting competitive soccer at around 7 years old, I have been in this fierce atmosphere for quite some time now and feel as if I am ready to transition to the next level, college soccer. I intend for my college years to be a time of hard work but also growth. I plan to major in Psychology, maybe minor in Law, and try to find some architecture classes as well. I will also transition that hard work from the classroom onto the field and try to be an effective and positive player for the team. Since joining my first club, I have been moved around many different positions. I started as a midfielder due to my ability to read the game well, then played a little bit of defense for my school team, and recently have been put in the forward position where I use my speed as one of my key points of attack. Although a forward is what I identify as now, I can easily adapt to any position a coach would need me at. I have enjoyed working hard on my game over my years of playing and the biggest benefits of my dedication have been in my ability to read the game, increased speed and athletic ability through extra work, and improving my first touch through extra sessions with high level players and small group sessions as well. These improvements have lit a fire under me to continue to work hard on my game and find a great college program that can continue to help me improve in those and other areas as well. Most importantly, I plan to give my all and act with honor and respect towards myself and of course the team, coaches, and school.
